Vista Projects (UK) Ltd. (Co no. 6184588.) was established by Lynn & Christian Barnes in 2007 to continue the work already being undertaken by us as a partnership and prior to that as sole traders. It provides consultancy and production services in the arts.
The company is commissioned in the north of England and Scotland by a portfolio of public and private sector clients in the property, regeneration, development and local government sectors to initiate, manage and deliver a range of cultural and creative projects with an emphasis on Public Art.
Vista has research interests in energy crops and organic growing and the management of landscape. It is currently developing and running a vegetable box scheme – VISTAVEG! and has recently secured significant Leader + funding to develop the scheme as a social enterprise (Community Supported Agriculture Project). VistaVeg has been accepted to bid into round two of the big lottery’s local food programme.

Christian was elected to the Board of Culture Cumbria December 2009 and will serve until 2012.
Christian continues to work as a public art and design consultant appointed to Middlesbrough Council a position held since 2006 to provide a public art and design consultancy/project management service to the authority. Projects in development include a major commissions to artists Simon Patterson and Patrice Warrener and the implementation of the Ian McChesney A66 project.
