Christian worked as a public art and design consultant with Middlesbrough Council between 2006-11. Among other projects he worked to commission Ian McChesney’s ‘Blaze’ at A66 and Cargo Fleet interchange which was installed last month. The project was a joint initiative with Tees Valley Arts. Architect Ian McChesney won a RIBA promoted Architectural competition to devise an ambient treatment that set up an elaborate moiré visible from moving traffic. It was intended that it could be prototyped at this location and rolled out along the A66 in the borough. Images and video of the project can be found here.
